The Categories of clothes
It is not limited to any categories of the clothes, as long as it is able to be cut with your scissors. The most common one would be t-shirt. Instead of it, shirt, pants, dress, jacket, and etc. are also good materials to be yarns!
只要家中的鉸剪能夠剪開，任何種類的薄衣物也可以變成冷線。雖然T恤為最常見的衣物去剪成冷線，但其實恤衫、褲、裙等等意想不到的衣物都可以化身成誘人的冷線。

Other than clothes
We actually have many fabric goods around us that commonly found in everyone’s home. Curtain, pillow case, tablecloth, and etc. are also good materials to be yarns.
布料在每個人的家中也是無處不在的。從你睡醒的一刻，其實你已經被布料包圍著了。只要當它們發揮不到原有的功能，或許你可以給予它們重獲新生的機會。
The structure of the fabrics
The fabric of our clothing can be formed by different kind of weaving or knitting method.
Different methods plus different materials will create different characteristics of the yarn.
衣物的布可以從不同的方法製成，例如梭織和針織。
不同的製作方法加上不同的物料，會做成不同特徵的冷線。
Mostly for shirt
Plain weave/ Oxford cloth
Some threads will loose out from the fabric. It looks stylish after craft.
冷線的邊緣會有一條條的線鬆出來。 編織後會充滿個性。
Mostly for T-shirt
Jersey with Cotton
The yarn can be stretched, and so roll up the side. It looks tidy after craft.
冷線有彈性，拉扯冷線就可以令冷線的兩邊捲起。 編織後看起來較整齊。
Mostly for jacket
Jersey with Polyester
The yarn is stretchy too, but it won’t roll up the side. The craft outcome looks similar to the cotton one.
冷線也有彈性，但拉扯後不會捲起兩邊。 不過編織後看起來其實和棉的不太大差別。
